Matty Lambden, the natural talent behind Tamrose Labradors, started trialling gundogs 10 years ago. As an ardent outdoorsman, Matty greatly enjoys shooting Snipe and working his dogs in the prestigous Slane Castle and thus it was a natural progression of his passions to start breeding and trialling championship Irish Labrador Retrievers. 
 
Currently Matty is the Honour Secretary of both the Irish Retrievers Championship Committee and the Utility Gundogs of Ireand Committee as well as “A” Panel Judge with the Irish Kennel Club. 
 
Over the years Matty has made up 5 Field Trial Champions and competes in trials under both Irish & English Kennel Club rules. Matty as an active competitor, has qualified 5 field trial champion dogs in the Irish Retriever Championship and has gained awards with three out of the five. In terms of tests, Matty has represented Ireland consistently for the last 6 years, with events such as the Skinners World Cup, The CLA Game Fair and has captained a winning Irish team at the Anglesey Gundog International in Wales where he ran two dogs in the team. 

Matty is well known for breeding puppies of the highest standards emphasising good health, good temperament and trainability – as a gundog trainer, these are the elements that make a up a loyal companion, either in the field or in the home.
